To check Bottle sealing properly.

This S.O.P is applicable to Liquid Department.

5.0 PROCEDURE:
5.1 Liquid filled Bottles are maintained by sealing the Bottles with R.O.P.P. Caps.
5.2 Sealing should be sufficiently tight so that cap does not rotate easily, when the Seal is gently turned by hand
5.3 Sealing of Bottle prevents leakage of liquid.
5.4 At the start-up of sealing operation approx. 20 Bottles in a row are checked for tight sealing as well as for thread part tightly secured.
5.5 At the interval of every 30 to 45 minutes few bottles are checked. Loosely sealed Bottles are resealed.
5.6 Four to five sealed bottles are kept near the operation as a control standard to confirm sealing.
5.7 Improperly sealed bottles are rejected from the sealing machine by the operator.
5.8 Rejected sealing bottles given for destruction.

The record shall be maintained by Liquid department and preserved for a period of five years.
