If you are not unable keep of your phone even at the dinner table then you need to improve your habit. Researchers says if you are tech buff that your kids not may be happy with you at all. So stop using smartphone all the time for your little one happiness.
Researchers says that the children of those parents who sporadically text even while driving and those who busy in over-sharing on social media, their kids not happy parents’ habit.
Kids don’t want to see their parents spending their all-time on the computer, tablet or smartphone
rather they want the parents to establish technology-related rules.
Researchers from the University of Michigan and the University of Washington conducted a study with 249 US child (aged 10-17) parent pairs. Observation was that 92 children feel that their parents not show interest while they are talking to them. The children wants to their parent’s prior permission to post anything online about them. The parents should trust their kids to set their own boundaries.
Study author indicates the advent of the internet created a wide gap between relationship, especially between parents and their children.
The study states that kids do not want to see their parents spending all their time on laptop, Tablet or smartphone. Kids want to parents establish technology related rules. Researchers pointed out that kids hate using phone while their parents driving and most importantly want the parents to practice what they preach.
