Canadians can Grow Cannabis
Canadians now have a legal right to grow their own medical Cannabis (Marijuana), it claims the Canadian court. The Conservative scheme had banned home cultivation of medical marijuana (Large commercial greenhouses in Canada).
In previous 2014 tory administration, patients forced to buy their prescription pot from government authorized growers.
Court noted that under the licensed producer regime, there is no guarantee the producer will be available Marijuana to a patient at a necessary quality or quantity or acceptable price.
Judge Michael Phelan wrote in decision that “the access restriction did not prove to reduce risk to health and safety. Judge suspended the ruling for six month to draft new rules.
Court extended an injunction that has allowed individuals who had licenses prior to the 2014 regulation changes to growing their own cannabis for medical use.
Canada become first G7 nation to legalize it.
Currently, total 29 commercial licenses in Canada to growth Marijuana.
